Go Lance (and Albert)

July 22, 2004 By: FRaNKy Category: General No Comments →

Drash Nationale today here in Belgium. Again our proud military held its parade in front of King Albert (the second).
At the same time Lance Armstrong raced uphill Alphe D’Huez with his bike defending his yellow jersey, even improving his lead on Jan Ulrich on the way to his 6th Tour victory.
And that other Armstrong jumped off his moonlander on that natural satelite that is zooming around our planet exactly 35 years ago. And still people don’t believe we actually went there… They should strip their balls to a Saturn 5 and shoot’m there.

Greetings from East Midlans

Writing this at our EMA-HUB for the local Citrix migration. The hotel is pretty nifty but this airport really is in the middle of nowhere. Thank god for MP3s and Studio Brussel’s live audio stream. What bothers me most tho is the security setup over here, where you have to walk thru an entire airport security setup and get searched every bloody time you pass.. Chees..

Where’s Mee Bags ?

Arrived in Nottingham East Midlands Airport. Got to run for our plane when leaving in Brussels because of the immense queue of people waiting, been stuffed in this way too tiny airplane, local handler not being able to put your bags on the plane and the airliner - altho there are 3 flights a day - claiming it will take 24 hours for the bags to arrive. Thanks to the Brussels staff all got rushed nonetheless !

Back from Rock Werchter

Back from Rock Werchter. The weather was kind of ok - with only a few (but yet massive) rainshowers coming over the audiance. Highlights certainly The Cure and Metallica ofcourse, where Lost Prophets and Daan also ruled pretty hard. Best moment altho must have been when Urbanus climbed on stage with De Heideroosjes. Good mentions also to The Darkness, Lamb and Monster Magnet. Special mention for The Pixies, altho Darkman probably enjoyed that far more then I did ;)
