U2 is coming to belgium and the tickets went on sale today.. The site that sold the tickets got flooded off the net more then 30 minutes before the virtual store openend.. I kinda expected it so I got my login and password ready. Anyway after 1 hour I got my form to fill in and retried for a couple of hours, but no luck… Didnt get thru as there was always some error message. But lo and behold 2 emails arrived that I had reserved my tickets.. Hmm… So that means I could have some tickets left, as I think that I’ve got them… We’ll see…

Heads up for some piece of old high-tech technology that was launched in 1997. Today the Cassini-Huygens probe dove thru the atmosphere of Titan performing just awesomely sending data completely as expected. Heads up for the people at ESA for building the stuff and NASA for setting up the transmission. A well done job getting something earth-made on a moon spinning around a planet millions of miles away.

Some upgrades of my demoscene group membership… Joined Drifters on Amiga and Smash Designs on C64. Sweet.. Back in the same group with Clary, thats a long time ago.. And Smash Designs is one of the best C64 groups at the moment.. Now I gotta figure out what to do for them ;-) Well, for Drifters I’m going to be doing all their internet matters, Smash Designs probably some graphics and charsets. Also I’ve joined the organisational crew of Breakpoint as additional C64 compo organiser and infodesk support. Very cool to be a part of that !

After talking to Dipswitch on Tum the guys from Slengpung welcomed me as photographer for their lovely site.. I’ll probably have lots of work uploading my picture archive.. Think I’ll start with the boatload from Tum and do the ones from my archive later.

Happy newyear… Back from Hemsbach.. Tum was great and the newyears afterparty with the rest of the organizers rocked as well.. We blew up lots of fireworks, had lots of gin-tonic and the vegetarian chili con carne was one of the best I ever tasted. Time to catch up some sleep.
